old Are you a technology pro who knows the difference between GPU and CPU, could talk for hours about machine learning, and loves to put these concepts into words?
We’re looking for an experienced techie with strong writing chops to help create email campaigns for our tech-focused clients.
Our ideal candidate can turn dry, complex topics into easy-to-understand concepts that educate and excite readers. This person will have a strong knowledge of things like cloud computing, APIs, and basic software development, as well as excellent communication and fact-checking skills. Experience writing sales/marketing collateral for B2B software companies is a huge plus.
What This Role Looks Like:
- Learn how to write cold emails that get 10x better open and response rates than the industry standard
- Conduct thoughtful research to understand how target audiences think using techniques from journalism and cybersecurity
- Analyze client literature, and incorporate it and their own outside knowledge into emails
- Participate in training sessions to strengthen your persuasive writing skills, while learning everything there is about cold email
- Communicate with client manager and editor regarding feedback for revisions, and be responsible and reliable for ALL deadlines
Qualifications & Required Experience
- 4+ years working in a SaaS or other technology company either in engineering or in a customer facing role
- 3+ years experience with copywriting or copyediting for B2B sales or marketing organizations
- Comfortable using Slack, Google Docs, remote conference software
This position is remote. Currently, it is a contract/freelance role, but there are opportunities for full-time employment (even remote), depending on performance.
Compensation is competitive, based on experience, with numerous opportunities for bonuses.
