In both cases, the reader gets the sense that the sender obviously wants to close an immediate deal (even though the reader has NEVER talked to this person before or responded to any of the emails this funding company has sent them). \u00a0If the client still hasn&#8217;t responded by this email, there is no chance they are going to pick up the phone and buy immediately. \u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you got this email (and all the other emails this spammer sent), you probably feel like you\u2019ve been hit over the head with a hammer repeatedly. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why on earth would the recipient of this email respond now if they haven\u2019t before? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What\u2019s in it for them?!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The sender is way too self-focused and aggressive. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It feels like a creepy guy (or girl) in a bar who continues to aggressively hit on you after you\u2019ve already said that \u201cNo Means No!\u201d about 20 times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And yet they keep trying with the same approach&#8230; <\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Why this email fails and got on \u201cThe Hall of Shame\u201d:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this\u00a0email is trying too hard and not professional enough<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The subject line is weird and not captivating (it feels desperate!)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the call to action is ridiculously forward for a \u201cbreakup email\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/salesfolk.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/The-Obnoxious-Breakup-Email-That-You-Don\u2019t-Want-To-See-.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-1684\" src=\"https:\/\/salesfolk.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/The-Obnoxious-Breakup-Email-That-You-Don\u2019t-Want-To-See--300x209.png\" alt=\"The Obnoxious Breakup Email That You Don\u2019t Want To See\" width=\"505\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/salesfolk.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/The-Obnoxious-Breakup-Email-That-You-Don\u2019t-Want-To-See--300x209.png 300w, https:\/\/salesfolk.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/The-Obnoxious-Breakup-Email-That-You-Don\u2019t-Want-To-See-.png 576w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 505px) 100vw, 505px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>How to Fix This Bad Cold Email:<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This breakup email could be a lot better if it was a short and simple \u201cbreakup email\u201d that had a much less aggressive call to action. \u00a0A nice change could be sharing a useful (NOT self-promotional) resource or piece of content that the reader would find useful that would leave the reader with positive thoughts toward the sender rather than hounding them with desperate pleas that add no value. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You never know why your prospects aren\u2019t responding&#8211;it could just be the wrong time of year, that they\u2019re too busy, don\u2019t have budget, etc. But no matter the reason, you should never leave your last interaction with them on \u00a0a bad note or be so obnoxious that you scare them away!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Have bad cold emails in your inbox?
